Overview

Ecora Resources PLC (LSE/TSX: ECOR; OTCQX: ECRAF), formerly Anglo Pacific Group, is a London- and Toronto-listed royalty and streaming company focused on critical minerals. The portfolio includes producing interests in cobalt (Voisey’s Bay),
copper (Mantos Blancos, Mimbula stream, Carlota), uranium, vanadium, steelmaking coal (Kestrel) and a pipeline of development-stage copper, nickel and uranium royalties. The company has shifted toward base metals and critical minerals, with base metals now the primary growth driver of portfolio contribution. Market capitalization is approximately US$450–650 million.

Investment Thesis

Ecora offers diversified exposure to critical-minerals cash flow without direct operating or capital-cost risk. Near-term growth is driven by rising cobalt volumes at Voisey’s Bay (2026 guidance 500–560 t attributable), the Mimbula copper stream acquired in 2025, and Mantos Blancos copper. Longer-term organic growth comes from development royalties (Vizcachitas, Cañariaco, uranium projects and others). The company is actively deleveraging after the Mimbula acquisition; net debt fell to ~US$75 million by mid-2026. Key risks include commodity-price volatility (especially cobalt and copper),
single-asset concentration in the near term (Voisey’s Bay), and the need to fund further accretive acquisitions while maintaining a balanced capital structure. Relative to pure precious-metals royalty peers, Ecora is more levered to the energy-transition metals cycle; relative to operators, it has lower operational risk but limited control over production timing and costs.
